Whatsapp Digital Payment Service is finally launched in Brazil
After testing in India, Whatsapp has finally declared that its payment service is now available in its application. Currently, this service is only available in Brazil but soon it will be launched worldwide yet is not specified yet that what will be the exact date of launch.
How Whatsapp Payment Service Works:
You can send and receive money to anyone using the WhatsApp payment service. This service uses Facebook pay. You will have to link your bank card with your Whatsapp account. The transactions will be fully secured by fingerprint and 6 digit pin code.
Facebook has already announced that it will launch its payment service in many applications and Whatapp is one of them. It will be interesting to see the success of this payment method in Whatsapp because over 2 Billion users are using WhatsApp. This service is currently launched in Brazil because in Brazil nearly every person uses Whatsapp for chatting.
Charges of using Whatsapp payment Service:
Whatsapp payment is free of cost for the individual users but the businesses will have to pay a 3.99% commission to Whatsapp.
How can Whatapp Digital Payment service be Beneficial:
Whatapp is a free application and it is accessible all around the world. It has nearly 2Billion users all across the globe. So with this number of users, it will become really easy for everyone to send and receive money from any person who just has Whatsapp installed on its phone.
Unlike Paypal, it will not be restricted to any specific countries so that will also be a big benefit for countries like Pakistan where Paypal is not working.
